Hi Saturn class,
After our discussions this morning, post a comment here on your class blog to tell me all about how to keep safe on the internet.
What top tips do you have? What are our e-safety rules at Winton? Can you remember the SMART rules?
How are you making the internet a better place?
I look forward to reading your posts here!
Miss Bates 😉
If you want to stay safe online follow these steps,
Keep your personal information safe anywhere online.
People who are met online are not friends, they are strangers.
Never accept a file that you are unsure of, always tell an adult before accepting files. This can cause viruses, adverts and other bugs.
Tell an Adult if you ever see anything inappropriate.
We can all make the internet a better place by following these steps
Stay safe on the internet!
Nadia I 🙂
lovely blog nice show of knowlege
Thank you for advise now I am going to follow all the rules and going to block people I don`t know and if something pops up I am going tilt my screen down. 🙂
Nadia that is an amazing way to help people to understand about how to use internet the right way.
You are right about people being met online. My friend once met someone online and thought she knew everything there was to know, but she was wrong. She soon found out that he was not what she thought she was and that she had been lied to. It just goes to show that you never know who your talking to and if you think you have a friend online, think again.
yeah your definitely right about it
wow nadia I really good job I would defernatly take your advice on internet safty !
a lot but interesting:)
thx for the kind comment! 🙂 😉
I love how you described the information about how to
keep safe online.
If you want to keep safe on the internet you should not talk to strangers, and if you see something like a pop up you should tilt your screen, let an adult know. The Smart rules are:
1. safe: Keep your personal information to your self
2. Meet: Don`t meet people you don`t know it could be dangerous
3. Accepting: Accepting files you don`t know can be dangerous
4. Reliable: Never rely on people on the internet that you don`t know.
5. Tell: If something impropriate comes up tell an adult
so now you know how to be safe on the internet:)
Hi Nadia R thanks for telling me about the rule S.M.A.R.T
I learned something new.
BE Smart because if your not your electronic device would be in harmed or you might be hurt by the things that are shown or said. safe always be safe on the internet never delete files that are not yours, never show your password that is yours
Thanks Yusuf. Although it was short I learnt something really important.

I am making the internet a better and safer place one step at a time. Here are some of my top tip to keeping safe online. 🙂
1)Always tell a adult or trusted elder if you see an image you wish you hadn’t or if something pops up and you do not like it
2)If something dose pop up that you do not like do not close your laptop down, just tilt your screen so no one else can see then put up your hand and an adult will try and prevent it from happening again.
3)If you get a friend request from someone you do not know do not except, because they might want to steal your personal information.
4)Always keep your personal information to yourself. Never tell anyone else unless you know them and you can trust them.

nice knowledge I really got involved when read thank you for the great comment ruby to really:):):):):) so great
my tips are don’t talk to strangers also do not meet strangers although you mite want to go on twitter or Facebook
they are not appropriate for blow 13 of age and remember the smart rules are
s for safe, m for meet ,a for accepting, t for tell. Are e-safety rules such as I will only delete my folder and I will not meet strangers online. Twitter is no only for over 13 of age it is also that you can make a account at any age because it doesn’t ask for your details
Thanks sabirin I have learnt a lot I didn’t know this until I read this.
From Ubaid :]
I never knew that until I read this
My top tips are that you should never ever talk to a stranger which you can don’t know on a social chatting website and never meet up with them even if they seem friendly. The internet can be a very dangerous place that is available to anyone so if you decide to meet someone online it can be anyone. another tip is not to click on pop ups and advertisements because it can be a risk. Not all of them are dangerous but a huge number of them are dangerous. Our e-safety rules at Winton are that we should always ell an adult if anything bad comes up, never delete someone’s files without their permission. Another one is what we like to call S.M.A.R.T. S which stands for safe that means to stay safe. M which means meet which is never to meet a stranger. A is for accepting that means never accept a file which is dodgy. R which stands for reliable that means to check is something reliable. And finally is T which stands for tell. This means that if you are unsure about something you should always tell an adult. See you soon Miss Bates 🙂

I have a lot of top tips for kids to use that will make the internet simpler to use. 😉
1) Always keep your personal information to yourselves and don’t arrange to meet anybody online because you don’t know who they are or what their like.
2) When something inappropriate pops up don’t close your laptop or do not click the cross. what you need to do is tilt your screen and call a responsible adult for help.
3)Make sure you don’t share your passwords to anybody even if you know them. make sure you only delete your own files
4) I will not visit any internet sites that my teacher has disapproved or any site that is banned by the school 😉 🙂

Wow Aiya I think you have covered everything you need to know about E-safety
Ruby- 🙂
today we had loads of great fun learning about safer internet and how to be careful on line think about the internet and think it in real life what would you do if someone asked you to be your friend on the street! or if they asked you your email address and then they said I’m going to follow but they followed you while you were walking down the street!
that is what you are doing on the internet and if you ever make a friend online that you don’t know NEVER EVER meet up with them because it could be dangerous so if you think you are smart you would follow these instructions
SAFE never give out personal information to anyone on the internet.
MEETING never meet a person that you have made friends with online it could be dangerous.
ACCEPTABLE even in a game world if someone askes to be your friend decline it unless you know the person.
RELIABLE on the internet you never know who is reliable or not so always ask an adult before doing anything.
TTELL if anything comes up that’s upsets or worries you always tell an adult
INTERNET SAFTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today we are learning about e- safety. Five top tips from keeping safe from the internet : I must only delete my only files. I will keep my login and password safe. I will not talk to strangers in the internet, neither anywhere else. If I see anything disturbing, or hurtful I must tell an adult and tilt the screen. I will only download files that are appropriate for me only. Safe has a meaning, and is also a representative. The meaning for safe is: S=safe. M=meet. A=accepting. R=reliable. T=tell. We are making the internet a better place by using things or passwords to ourselves, and also using websites to keep our personal things safe. Thank u miss Bates.
S.M.A.R.T stands for….
SAFE
MEET
ACCEPTIBLE
RELIABLE
TELL
Well done Patric for remembering the SMART rules!
I will use the tips you gave me thank you Patrick
THANK YOU

You’re welcome Nadia, I am so please to see that you are aware of the e-safety rules and how to use the Internet!
Keep up the good work 🙂
Today we had been learning about how the online life can be very similar to the offline life. we looked at a video that showed us someone that it might take the life of online into the offline. We also learned about the BE SMART rule The S is s for safe on the internet .M is meet don’t meet strangers in the street or online if you don’t know them . A is accepting files that you don’t know . R is reliable adult that you can trust and T is trusting people that you might be able to meet
Well done Shuab! T is also for TELL an adult you trust, perhaps a parent or an adult at school.
Today we are learning about how to be safe on the internet. To keep safe on the internet always follow these simple rules:
*Only delete your own files
*Never tell your password to anyone
*Never bring other files in school with out permission
*Never look in other peoples files
*Never go and meet people you don’t now
It is very dangerous for you to tell your privet identification because if you do bad people can hack you or even use your personal information. Some people don’t know what there doing and some times they put there address on face book and say “I’m having a party at my house come” but instead of her friends coming strange bad people come. If you don’t want that happen follow these SMART online rules:
Safe
Meet
Accepting
Reliable
Tell
BE SAFE ON THE INTERNET
THANK YOU Miss Bates
Wow Fatma great knowledge! 🙂
Fatma, this is super work!
Well done for sharing this advice on the blog 🙂
To be safe on the internet is to keep your information and not to talk to strangers just ignore them don’t use things that are not made for you.
good advice 🙂
You’re righht Ayaz, well done. It is very important you use age appropriate websites and apps.
If you need help with finding age appropriate material, please ask or go to http://www.lgfl.net for some super programs you can use both at school and at home.
Firstly, the top tips I have is that whenever there is a pop up, ads, bad images, or horrible messages tilt your screen and
tell an adult about the situation. Secondly, at Winton Primary School, we have our own E- Safety Rules. Few of the rules are; I will not bring files to school without permission. Never give out your Log and Password. Finally, we do not look at other peoples files. Additionally, on Tuesday 10t February, it was Safer Internet Day and had a few rules about that day.
These rules are;
SAFE
MEET
ACCEPTABLE
RELIABLE
TELL
Lastly, we make internet a better place by making viruses, ads and bad images go away and keeping safe from all
the viruses:)
Thanks for reminding me of the S.M.A.R.T thing I will never forget it now
EFFECTIVE love the tips really helps .
sabirin :}
I learned that don’t talk to stranger and you have to 13 to have a Facebook or twitter . my tips are keep your personal information safe .If something makes you sad tell a adult. Be smart use the internet. if pop up come up and you don’t like it tell a adult.
thanks yasmin I will be the age to see Facebook or something else
Well done Yasmin you have taught me some basic rules.
NICE WORK PACTRIC!!;]
lovely nice and cool
The way you can keep safe on the internet is by not talking to strangers and meeting with them and if you have something
that you don’t want see tilt the screen and tell a teacher and the first e-safety rules is only use the computers for homework
or schoolwork so you can not go on games unless the teacher says so the second rule is only delete your own file so if you delete someone less file they will lose all of there work the third rule is you can not look at other people file without there permission so the people that are looking at your work might even copy your work the forth rule is I will keep my login username or password so if they go on your account and sabotaged your account
S- safe
M-meet
A-accepting
R-reliable
T-tell
